Super Antics #6

On this page, I tried to up the ante a bit in creating an old comic look. Not only did I misregister the color, but I also added a faint image of a reverse comic page, which would show through the newsprint. Yep. This is how I amuse myself.

Animated Comic Cover: Valentine's Day Edition!

When I have time, I enjoy creating animated covers. I like to bring attention to classic or interesting artwork. I think 1951's Amazing Adventures #4 qualifies...

(And yes, the alien drool is on the original cover.)

On a totally different note, the frequency of my blog posts have slowed down the last few months. I've been drawing on a 160 page comic, which I hope to launch on the web later this year. The below page doesn't give much away. It may look like a cliche zombie situation, but I guarantee you have no idea where the story is headed...

This Little Piggy Ran!

I graduated from the University of Arkansas. I got a great education there. (Some of it was even in the classroom, wink wink.) Threadless is currently having a "College Challenge" and I submitted the above Arkansas Razorbacks design. I wanted to illustrate "Go Hogs" and make it somewhat traditional, just to give it a longer shelf-life. I'm pretty happy with it. A Chicken + A Hare = Fun!

A friend of mine has a fun graphic novel coming from Scholastic in February. I've seen an advanced copy. It's fantastic! Check out this informative video...

Super Antics #5

I know Batman has some crazy "official" reason for having a robot dinosaur in his Batcave, but I think the following is much more likely...

Super Antics #4

I had some free time over Thanksgiving and realized I hadn't drawn a comic page in a while. So I did!

The girlfriend before Lois...

Something to get off my chest

I recently received a Square Stretched Canvas print of my superhero parody art from Threadless and it looks great! Great color, great impact. My photo doesn't do it justice.

If you view the art on the Threadless site, the image is a little deceptive. It shows the extra bleed area, which in reality wraps around the thick edges on the canvas frame.

However, if you purchase the flat, paper Square Print option, it actually prints as shown on the site, bleed clearly showing. Even though the Square Stretched Canvas is more expensive, it's much cooler in my opinion.

My work is a little hard to find on Threadless. If you use the main search engine at the top of the site, it only searches Guys Tees. The Super Embarrassment shirt is sold out, so it shows no results. It's unfortunate because it's still available on Girls Tees and other product. Such as this iphone case...

Now if I could only convince Threadless to give my Woman version the same treatment, all would be right with the world. Com'on Threadless, don't you want all to be right with the world?
